Following his resignation from Msida Saint-Joseph some weeks prior, Patrick Curmi was installed as the new manager of Marsaxlokk on 18 December 2008. Curmi signed a contract keeping him with the club until 2011.[1]
Patrick took over the club management role from Brian Talbot, but the Englishman remained with the club, taking up a new role of technical director.
Curmi made his debut on the touchline for Marsaxlokk on 20 December 2008 in a match against Valletta. Unfortunately for Patrick, Marsaxlokk lost the game 1-0, with the goal coming from former Marsaxlokk player Cleavon Frendo.[2]
Curmi was appoined as the new senior coach of Birkirkara on 21 May 2011 and was offered a two-season contract.
